Got home late-ish tonight and didn't have a veggie snack prepared. So now I'm staying up late so I can roast some sweet potatoes. But I'm tired! Should I have gone to bed instead???
This is when chopping up some raw cucumber and tossing back a few cherry tomatoes comes in handy. I always have those around for times like that or where I need to "top up" and don't have enough cooked. Hope you weren't up too late!
Metabolism turns OFF at night, the snack just keeps it going right up to till your head hits the pillow. Sleep is better in this case, in fact better in almost all cases.
I think Patrick said that eating the snack is key to keeping the metabolism up overnight, so you probably did the right thing
