Damn - I hoped you weren't going to say that. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I really only feel the burn in my legs, not really my stomach. Did I mention I did 8MA instead?? :)
I feel the burn in my legs too. In my hip flexors. I think it has to do with the fact that my legs are a) weak and b) not totally straight. There's so much to fix there... I need to try those 8 minute abs!
Are you guys putting your hands palms down under your butt while you do these? Somehow that helps - a lot. Also, if you're struggling, take off your shoes. Less weight to lift.
That said, I sometimes feel the strain in my hip flexors too - more so in V-sits than leg-ups, but it's really the same motion.
I have to say, I'm in love with 8MA. So cheesy, yet so good!
Hands under butt, sometimes shoes on, sometimes shoes off. After the first couple of sets, I can sort of feel in my tummy, but my legs, thighs especially, TOTALLY ache. Weird.
And as for keeping legs totally straight, I CAN'T! Not physically possible for me to do it. Will focus harder on doing them right next go around...
Don't skip leg lifts they'll make your tummy look gooooood.

Yes... and I did think to take my shoes off knowing that my feet would be a little lighter, I thought I was being so clever... funny!
